Rebecca Blackstone Lowell
Ms. Lowell spent her early years in Beirut, Lebanon, then moved to California where she completed her education. She graduated from Point Loma College with her BA in Literature and Writing in 1991 and went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University in 1995. In addition, Ms. Lowell received a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution in 1995.
Since her acceptance to the California Bar in 1995, Ms. Lowell has worked exclusively in healthcare litigation. She has worked closely with in-house counsel developing and implementing corporate compliance programs and has defended hospitals and physicians through all facets of litigation. Since 2001, Ms. Lowell has been primarily involved in elder abuse litigation, representing physicians, skilled nursing facilities and residential care facilities. Published opinions include Hernandez v. California Hospital Medical Center (1999) 78 Cal.App.4th 498 and Goliger v. AMS Properties, Inc. (2004) 123 Cal. App. 4th 374.
Ms. Lowell is a member of the American Bar Association and the Ventura Bar Association.
