Sueanne C. Chadbourne

Sueanne Costales Chadbourne received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Irvine in 1992. Upon graduation, Ms. Chadbourne served in the Peace Corps, stationed in the Ivory Coast. She attended the University of Oregon Law School, receiving a J.D., in 1998, as well as certificates from the programs of Environmental and Natural Resource Law and Ocean and Coastal Law. While in law school, Ms. Chadbourne served as a judicial extern to the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals, in addition to completing clerkships at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington D.C., and the Environmental Defense Center in Santa Barbara/Ventura. Ms. Chadbourne was admitted to the California state bar in 1999, and the Washington state bar in 2000.

Upon completing law school, Ms. Chadbourne joined The Nature Conservancy in Seattle, Washington where she focused on acquisition of ecologically significant real property throughout the state. Ms. Chadbourne also worked with a small boutique law firm in the Seattle area, concentrating on land use, civil litigation and estate planning. From 2001 to 2008, Ms. Chadbourne was associated with a Ventura litigation firm, where her practice focused on personal injury, toxic torts and general civil litigation. In December 2008, Ms. Chadbourne joined Beach | Whitman | Cowdrey, LLP.

Ms. Chadbourne is admitted to practice before all California and Washington state courts and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association. Ms. Chadbourne was raised in Ventura, and enjoys living in Ventura with her husband and young son.
